Two open floors and a roof terrace were designed to incorporate the owner’s residence and art studio. The upper floor is a platform for open living mediated by material transitions as programs overlap. Cedar; cleft limestone; honed terrazzo. The lower floor is more
intimate. Cedar volumes shape the surrounding spaces creating a master suite and access to the artist’s studio space. A cantilevered stair leads from the living area to a roof top sunroom and planted garden. Photographs by Gregory Goode, Francois Halard and IdS/R.
